Alteryx - Designer Core Virtual Course: September 9-13, 2019
Presented by InterWorks
WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?
The Alteryx Designer Core course is for analysts interested in using Alteryx to create simple, repeatable workflows for ingesting, blending, cleaning and transforming data in preparation for analysis. Attendees need no prior experience with specific software, though familiarity with the basics of querying data is valuable. This course will prepare you to take the Alteryx Designer Core Certification exam.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
This course is designed to give you a solid foundation with the tool, so you can walk straight out of class and into your own workflows. We’ll talk through the Designer interface, build vocabulary of terms needed to speak “Alteryx” and explore ways to enhance your learning through the built-in sample workflows. During the sessions, we’ll review all the tools on the Favorites toolbar and branch out to explore several tools off the beaten path.
You’ll spend time importing, connecting and shaping data so that it can be used in the most popular business intelligence reporting tools. This course also covers an introduction to both macros and analytic apps, enabling you to take your workflows beyond data merging and shaping and into building your own custom tools and distributing your workflows to others.
Built into the curriculum is time for attendee Q&A. Have questions on how to apply lessons to your specific data? Bring it. What about using what you’ve learned so far in class and hitting snags? Bring those questions, too.
WHAT YOU’LL GET
At the end of class, you’ll walk away with a solid foundation in Alteryx as well as the following:
- A PDF file of presentation slides used in the course
- A completed copy of all workflows used in the course (four)
- At least three supplemental workflows using techniques learned in class
- Data sources for all workflows
- The prerequisite to take the Alteryx Designer Advanced course
Our Alteryx Designer Core course can be delivered in-person or remotely via virtual classroom. The in-person class consists of two eight-hour days. In the virtual class, you’ll meet with your instructor via WebEx for two-and-a-half hours each day for five consecutive days.
